"Art meets Grossarl" at DAS EDELWEISS Salzburg Mountain Resort
Renowned artists from painting and wood art show their exhibits in selected businesses of the Grossarl Valley - including DAS EDELWEISS Salzburg Mountain Resort.
This special kind of vernissage will be opened on 27 October 2023 from 18:30 in the Alpine Lounge of our hotel by hostess Karin Hettegger with family.
The participating artists JOHN WIESER and MARINA HOFINGER have exhibited their paintings at DAS EDELWEISS and will also be on site that evening. Moreover, wood carver "ASTEI" will come to us and exhibit his sculptures.
After dinner, our guests will have the opportunity to walk from hotel to hotel and view more works of art. The Tauernhof in Großarl houses artworks by Norbert Fux and in the Großarler Hof you will find more works by John Wieser.

"Everything connected to everything - omnia quae al aomnia"
There is nothing separate. Every action, every thought has consequences and is linked to later actions and thoughts. Everything is connected to everything else - nothing exists alone in this world. And that is exactly what Marina Hofinger portrays in her pictures. Connectedness with everything. Colors for the wonderful diversity of feelings and emotions and this penetration of energy that does not allow for clear demarcation! In her pictures, the people and animals are recognizable as objects and yet interwoven with what surrounds them. The focus is almost always on people and animals - and the associated connection with everything that exists here on our beautiful planet.

"nudes in graphite"
The act, this almost inexhaustible motif, has been tackled by so many artists and photographers that John Wieser's greatest challenge was to create something special.
Something that significantly distinguishes his work from the works of other artists. By choosing the simple tool pencil, he managed to create a very special series of nudes - his “nudes in graphite”!
Elaboration on the verge of perfection, a high level of skill in the technique used, a feeling for human proportions and, above all, patience and imagination are the basic requirements for creating works like this.
John Wieser sees not only simply depicting the human body, but also giving it life, feeling, harmony, sensuality and elegance, thoughtfulness, inner peace or tension as true art.
The act should not appear good through "whitewashing", but rather through what is depicted. Nothing should distract the viewer from the actual topic. Aesthetics and naturalism merge in one image.
