Hüttschlag Cross-country Skiing Trails
A highly recommended cross-country skiing trail is found at the head of the valley: situated next to the ice-covered Grossarler Ache River, the sun glints off the snowy peaks of the Hohen Tauern and you slip into this winter wonderland along the Hüttschlager cross-country trail. This course at the head of the Grossarl Valley is around 10km long. Choose your personal favourite section: beginners can easily avoid uphills and practised cross-country skiers can enjoy all of the variable terrain over 204m in elevation change. Reward yourself with a stop at the Aschauerstüberl and refresh yourself with a warm cup of tea and a small snack while exchanging stories with other cross-country skiers.
A Trip to Koesslerhaeusl on Cross-country Skis

Experienced skiers can enjoy the Reitwiese cross-country track as well, as here you can really challenge yourself.
